Anytime the combustion is not up to 100%, the pcm tries to compensate. This could possibly cause your lean condition. Any leak down issues?

The L76 is a great engine. I had a '09 G8 that was an absolute monster. The l92 heads will really allow that mill to wake up with a new cam. You may want to check some G8 forums to find a good combo. There are so many good grinds out there today.

Yea, I felt air coming out of the oil cap... I didn't have the tester I just hooked up about 30 PSI in the spark plug hole... what do you think? I didn't remove the valve cover it's been raining all day here.

You need to have an actual leakdown tester to be accurite. They have the ability to tell you the percentage of leakdown, which is the main part of the test. They also use a very small amount of pressure. You may be forcing the pressure out the rings (easiest place to escape), when in reality there isn't anything wrong.

If there isn't any oil on the plug, I really don't think you have a lower end issue.

Yea there isnt any oil... Im just going to go ahead and replace the cam, pushrods, springs & long tub headers with cats. I am on my 3rd of of research and still havnt found a cam. I also cant find the holes to put the pins to hold the lifters up. Do you happen to have a picture of this?

A 2007.5-2013 Vortex Max would have a 6.2L engine, without DOD.

:driving:

Vortec Max badging ended in 08 or 09. L76 6.0. 09 also started the 6.2 in "normal" trucks
