Zachs_Alligator
I bought my truck in February. Ordered it with the 5.3, Flex fuel, 3.42s, locking rear, and tow package. I love the truck and have decided to add a twin turbo setup. Right now the truck has 2500 miles. Obviously I don't give two shits about the warranty. So don't mention it. So far the Parts list includes: McGaugheys 4/6 Lowering kit with air bags for towing 2 Borg Warner S200SX-E 57mm turbos LT4 Injectors LT4 Mechanical Fuel pump LT4 MAP sensor 2 Precision 39mm Wastegates 1 Tial BOV Manual boost controller AEM Failsafe AFR/ Ethanol % gauge Still deciding on wheels and tires ....there is more coming but this is just to get started with the fabrication Looking to make about 600whp on E85 with the capability for 1000 once I figure out the fuel situation. I'm not new to the FI scene. I have 1000hp turbo C5. Stayed tuned for more.
KARNUT
I always went with kits with a s/c but I have no patience and want to be going in one weekend. Have fun keep us posted.

If all goes as planned it should be ready for a tune in 2-3 weeks. Were going to flip the stock manifolds around and mount the turbos that way. Keep it as simple as possible. Zachs_Alligator
Got the rear axle flip kit on and bolted the mcgaughy shackle hangers at the highest point. Used 2 degree pinion shims as well. FYI, I found out that stock 17 inch rims will not clear the McGaughy's 2 inch drop spindle even with extreme cutting. We cut the bottom of the lower ball joint completely off and it still would not fit. To remedy the problem I've ordered a new ball joint and a set of 20in wheels and tires. Chris Conway, co-owner of JWSpeedfactory LLC, grinding down my ball joint.
Zachs_Alligator
So the McGaughys kit will not fit stock 17s. In our attempt to make it fit, we ground off the ball joint bolt completely and need a new one. Apparently the lower ball joints are different from 2016 to 2017 because I got a 2016 ball joint and it does not fit at all. I know this is odd but has anyone needed to replace a 2017 lower ball joint and where can I get one? Dealership is my only option I'm guessing. Zachs_Alligator
from 2017 on, ball joints come pressed into the control arms. So replacement means you need to buy a complete arm. Thankfully my dealer had them in stock! Got the lowering kit on today with a set of 20s Looks mean! Turbo fab will start in another week or so. I'm just enjoying the truck until then. Zachs_Alligator
Managed to cut a 14.2 at 101mph at the track tonight. I was expecting much worse. This was on E85, quarter tank of gas and nothing in the bed. I did a Smokey burnout to heat my tires and it still spun. On drag radials I'm sure I could cut a 13.9 with the stock tune. It's really the transmission that sucks. It doesn't shift hard enough stock.

I do my best. Half the time I forget to take pictures and only get the end result. Truck should be going in for fabrication this week. I wanted to have my truck for Cruisin Weekend in Ocean City, so the turbo fab got delayed.
