Fox 2.0, BakFlip MX4, Putco Switchblade, running boards

Recommended Posts

Well I've finally taken the plunge...

Purchased Fox 2.0 setup for all 4 corners, with a 2" block in the back to replace the 1" and a BakFlip MX4 from MRT on GMTrucks forums.

Also got the Putco 92009-60 Switchblade LED tailgate light bar - 91009-60 had some problems with turn signals, hoping this model fixes that.

I will be purchasing the GM 3" Off-Road running boards most likely. Unless I can find the Tyger StarArmor set or a similar one.

I will be keeping the stock tires for another 10k miles or so, then I'll be upgrading to 275/70/18.

Also got new Bosch wiper blades and M1-212 oil filter for oil change next weekend. Will be installing all of this next weekend.

I'll make sure to post lots of pictures and videos hopefully of how everything is installed and how it looks afterwards. Will include part numbers next week for anyone interested.

Any tips are greatly appreciated.

sounds like a nice little build. The fox 2.0 are nice, little stiff if you are always on highways though.

Did you install fronts and rears?

I've got those steps and for the money, they are nice.

Ended up going with the Magnum RTS16CH steps to save a little $$.

Yes, I had them all around on my 2015 Denali. Mine was leveled on stock tires and wheels

I'll be on stock tires for another 10k then ill upgrade, but will keep stock wheels too.

Will be installing this running board light kit as well:

Why not just buy a roll of the waterproof leds for a fraction of the cost?

$9 > $64

I prefer pre-assembled ones so I don't have to do much work. I don't care for electrical.

Magnum RT steps showed up today. Were missing a couple u-lock M8 1.25 - so I've got to wait for new ones to be shipped or O'Reillys will have some on Thursday

BakFlip is installed, Magnum RT steps are installed, Putco Switchblade is installed. I'll post some pics of the tailgate bar tonight.

Still waiting on MRT to let me know what the deal is with the front coilovers. Was told they were in stock when I ordered, but apparently they're coming direct from Fox... still waiting. Back block and rear Fox 2.0s are here but gotta wait on the fronts.

  • 3 weeks later...

I ordered a full set of the Fox 2.0 shocks from MRT on May 8th and I'm still waiting on the fronts to ship as well. They were good about responding to messages regarding status at first and I scheduled my appointment at a shop to have them installed based on the shipping info I received. I broke my back last October and am still going through physical therapy or I would be doing the install myself. I had to cancel when the front coilovers didn't arrive in time. Now I can't get a hold of anyone at MRT through email, text or phone. I live in an apartment so I was worried that they had arrived and gotten stolen. Not sure what the deal is but the lack of communication concerns me.
