Adrian17 Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 Have a 2003 Silverado 1500HD with the 6.0 latley i have been seeing vapor out of the tail pipe even though its about 70-80 degrees in the morning. And its a good amount not just drifting out of the pipe, and clouds come out when i give it gas, also it does smell like gasoline which i dident notice until my brother told me. Im not to sure if thats normal, i know it normal during the winter but not in warm weather can does this happen to anybody els?

dewfpo Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 Is the water vapor there all the time? You can still have water vapor showing even in hot weather if you take many very short trips and put a lot of condensation into the exhaust system. If you have water vapor showing all the time, then pressure test your cooling system. You can do it yourself with the correct kit or you can have someone else do it. It will tell you if your loosing cooling. DEWFPO

Truck feels the same no loss of power or anything. Is the water vapor there all the time? Also forgot to mention that it had just finished raining mabey thats it.
