AC Delco filters suck

Well, I was hoping this thread would just go away with the way that I worded the title. I'm sorry if I offended anybody with my rage fueled original post. As Maverek Z71stated above, I had never had a filter leak until this truck, pissed me off, hence the title. I have digested all these responses and see my error.

But I have to add, a lot of people said I was distorting the filter body, and ruining the rubber o ring, etc etc. If hand tight, and 1/4 of a turn with a wrench damages the filter in any way, POS. I have switched brands.

Dude everybody is entitled to their opinion. I think Ac builds a good filter. Wix are the best IMHO but I use AC too. I am wondering which brand you are using now...

Going to try K&N for a couple of times, probably end up with Napa Gold.

After doing several oil changes on the new truck, that has the same engine, I can say that the 2016 WT had something going on in the oil land area. The new 2017 SLE has almost 23,000 miles, and what, 5 oil changes, no leaks ever on this truck, just like normal, no over tightening, no drips, nothing. Whew, thought I was loosing my touch there on that truck. I like using the PF63, not the recommended PF48,  just for extra length helping to get a hold of it on removal, just me.
