Lowest Mileage...

Recommended Posts

Ok, who has the lowest mileage on their Silverado or Sierra?

Today my 09 Silverado clicked over 79,000 miles.

I bought it new in January 2010 so I have had it 7 years and 6 months and 6 days. :driving:

That makes it about 10,500 miles a year.

I'm sure there are trucks out there with less mileage.....What do you got?

I sold it 2 years ago to buy my current truck, but my 1998 K1500 WT had 132,000 miles @ 17 years old. That's only 7800 mi/ year.

I kinda cheated since it was my second vehicle, I also have a work beater that got driven more often.

April 1st of this year I traded in a 2006 Silverado Crew Cab with 76,000 miles that I bought new in July of 2006. I purchased a 2011 Silverado Crew Cab with 2,744 miles, it currently has 4025 miles on it.

My grandfather bought a brand new Suburban in 1993. Right before he passed away in 2015, I had to take him to his doctor and it was easier for him to get in and out of the Suburban than my truck. I drove his Suburban that day and noticed the mileage. It only had 94000 miles on it...right at 4300 miles per year. I know for a fact that they had driven it from Alabama to California and back 3 times (maybe more), but other than that, just about the only time it was driven was to the dealership every 4 months to have the oil changed, whether he had driven it much or not in those 4 months. And the only time it had ever been in the shop was when they were visiting my uncle in Houston and someone tried to steal it. He called his insurance company and told them what had happened and they set him up with a dealer in Houston and they replaced the door handle/lock mechanism and steering column. Had them back on the road the next afternoon.

That's a keeper for sure!
