Help with front turn signal wiring on 2017 LT

Recommended Posts

Now do you need 3ohm for each rear bulb or are you putting a 3ohm in upstream? Also, where could I locate the front wiring harness for the turn signals to wire in upstream?  And, lol, has anyone used resisters for the headlights?  Are they needed and will they be brighter if I use them?

Thanks,

JS

I was going to install the gold resistors on my truck but after searching around I found the VLR6 resistors from VLEDs. I was able to connect them to the wiring by the actual turn signal on the headlight instead of the main harness. These resistors come with a disconnect so if you have to pull the headlights out you can disconnect them from the actual resistor and the wiring is long enough so you can mount them on the body of the truck and away from the headlight since resistors do get hot. Just a thought for people looking into resistors.

I second the VLEDS - they are awesome. Mine don’t even get hot to the touch and have worked flawlessly for a year now.

I got the wiring colors for the turn signals and grounds at the harness, but what color is for the running lights(parking lights)?
