I wanted to send an update to this thread.  The vendor where I purchase the yellow connector went obsolete.  I have spent the last 2 weeks trying to find another vendor with no luck.

 

What does this mean?

 

I'll have to purchase this connector directly from GM.  The cost for this connector is $15 more than what I used to get them for.  

 

SO... as of 9/1, the cost for this harness will have to increase by $15.

 

New harness price will be $150 on 9/1.

You’ll need to get a lid with the wireless charging module or see if you can add the module with the lid you have now.

Here is my video on it.

If you are able to add the module to the existing lid, you’ll need a cable to plug into the module and you’ll have to splice that into the rear 12V plug.

Quick question, How do you unplug the connectors for the 110 outlet. They won’t pull out with me. Not sure if there’s a tab I need to push in.

Nvm I figured it out. There’s a tab on the side you need to push in for anyone else who didn’t know.

I had the same problem with those 2 wires. Finally figured it out. The key is have patience and don’t mess anything up. ?

Got it installed today everything works good

Finished my install.  All is working except the glove box USB.

I didn’t have any open USB’s on my HMI. 

2018 parts, so my iPhone 8 and wife’s X are wireless charging. 

Have my upgraded HMI on the way to get Apple car play and other later model features.
