GM Performance Cat Back Exhaust Muffler

Recommended Posts

I'm looking at a GM Performance Cat Back exhaust P/N 23462044 for my 2017 Silverado.

Does anyone know which Corsa muffler is used in GM systems? Sport or Touring or some other GM spec.??

Thanks

Should be almost zero difference from stock.  My HD had a Corsa system with the sport muffler and at highway cruising, it was actually a tad quieter than stock.  When you were accelerating at any rate you heard the difference.  With the touring muffler you should be stock sound levels and some increase under load and WOT where the touring would provide even more load and WOT.  And when Corsa says no drone, they mean it.

I thought they used a Borla muffler in those. At least my muffler clearly says Borla on it.  I have the GM catback for my 6.2 (installed at the dealer before picking it up) and you can hear it when accelerating buy going highway speeds, you don't even know it is there. I love it and so does the lady.

The cat-back system is P/N: 19303346

I also added the chrome black tips that are P/N: 19303348

They have both the Borla and the GM perf system made by Corsa. No flapper valve in the GM PERF / Corsa system

On the gm performance Corsa system, is there something to stop the chopper noise in v4 mode, any pictures if so?

I’ve heard of the GM borla but didn’t know Corsa also made one for GM. I installed Borla ATAK on mines and love it. If you are paying attention you can tell when it’s in v4 vs V8 but it’s not a big deal. It’s bearly noticeable like very little why I said if you are paying attention you will pick up on it. From what borla states the Touring and S-Type don’t drone and the ATAK is very faint in my opinion

I just took delivery of my 18 crew Highcountry 6.2 and had the dealer put the performance exhaust by  Borla on it and love it. Just the right amount of sound. You hear it accelerating but just barely at a steady speed. No drone at all. When you step on it it comes alive. I do a lot of highway driving and a loud or drowning exhaust would of been a deal braker. The Borla has the flapper valve to meet the GM specs.
