I lived in Illinois for 18 years before moving. Wondered how many people call Ill./Midwest home

I grew up in Elgin, but went to school in....Hampshire. I can't imagine many people know of Hampshire.

I bet I know of 95% of the towns in Illinois, Hampshire, thats easy.  Its the headquarters for Prairie State Select Sires (its a farm thing, most of you wouldn't understand    ).

 

Ok, I'll ask you.  Ever heard of Lynn Center?  No?  Thats ok, population ~65, but we do have a post office!

15 miles SE of the Quad Cities.

I-55? I-50?, Work with me here. I last called Il. home in '86. Apparently further south than Elgin. I've had a few friends attend NIU. of course that was way way back when..'87 time frame.

I live a mile off I-74.  Its 9 miles south of the Big X, intersection of I-80, 280, and 74.

Sorry, Rt 72 is as close as I can come to that. Not exactly sure where the "Big X' is. I'll give it some more thought. Until then...
