Skinner hired to fill in for Nadeau

July 29, 2003

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Mike Skinner was hired Tuesday to take injured driver Jerry Nadeau's spot at MB2 Motorsports.

Mike Wallace had filled in since May, when Nadeau was critically injured in a wreck in Richmond, Va. Boris Said also drove the No. 01 Pontiac once, finishing sixth in Sonoma, Calif.

Now Skinner is taking over the ride, beginning with the Brickyard 400 this weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Skinner was the inaugural NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion in 1995 and the 1997 Winston Cup rookie of the year. He was fired last month from Morgan-McClure Motorsports.

Well, IMO this sucks. I like Wallace ALOT more than I like Skinner.
