1970 c10 suspension Update

Family has an old 70 c10 shortbed we just pulled out of storage and are in the process of getting it back on the road. On top of drop spindles, disc brakes and lowering springs in the rear (2"/3" drop) we will need new wheels. I'm thinking about using those new style work truck wheels and popping the chrome clad off similar to those BIG 10 trucks all over the internet these days, it's a 6 lug truck now. Does anyone have any experience with late model wheels on these trucks as far as if backspacing will work and will and also what size 17" tires I should be on the look out for??? TIA

pretty sure the bolt patterns are different now as of a few years ago, but I could be wrong

Lug pattern is identical at 6 on 5.5"
