Right rear tire chirping on right hand turn from a stop..

Recommended Posts

Over the last couple of days I've noticed that my right rear tire on my 2016 Silverado regular cab chirps real quick when I make a right hand turn from a stop. It doesn't happen on a left turn from stop and I'm not positive but it seems like it might actually be locking up for a second as opposed to breaking traction.  Anybody else ever had this issue or have any insight as to what may be going on?

How many miles on the truck?  Could be the g80. If the miles are above 40-50k, you could try changing out the gear oil.

It only has a little over 8,000 miles and I now notice it is a little jerky when making a slow speed left or right turn which does seem like it could be something in the rear end (this is the first vehicle Ive ever had with all this traction control etc so I thought it may have been something to do with that)

My 2016 RCSB has 11K on it now with no issues on G80 for hard left / right turns..

Time to visit dealership for warranty work / G80 replacement.

Problems of this nature can result in rear wheel bearing and brake issues unless fixed soon..

Cheers---K
