S&B intake question

Recommended Posts

So I am new to the forum but have been around modded GM vehicles my whole life.  I recently bought a 2018 Sierra Denali w/ the L86 6.2L. (The truck is NOT tuned) My first mod was an S&B cai. I feel like it lost low end and mid range power after doing the install. Does this sound correct? Does this have anything to do with knock retard?

I thought the same thing when I first installed the S&B on my 5.3L. It seemed way better after I drove it a bit, as the computer did it's thing I assume.
