Leveling Photos

Recommended Posts

In the 1500 section they have a good selection of leveled trucks then a separate post for lifted trucks etc.

Let’s see those leveled trucks only, NO lifts. List your setup. CV angle photos wouldn’t hurt either.

Mind explaining what turning the key means? I'm learning all this new terminology.

Sure, the front suspension on these trucks uses torsion bars for the springs. If you look under the front, you'll see two rods going from under the cab area to the lower A arm, that's the spring. They get they're "spring rate" from being twisted, and the twisting is done by a leaver on the end of the bar, or as it's commonly known as, a torsion key. There's a bolt that pushes on one end of the key, turn it in, it raises the front of the truck, you can get pretty much two inches this way, or level the truck. How do you like it with the stock keys cranked? How high did you end up going roughly?

Turned up factory keys, shock spacers, air bags in the rear, 305-70-18 coopers on factory wheels. 7c771e76807a76a5b2c2729c2f2dee99.jpg74af8e343638b599925150196741b909.jpg8511b6623f7ba8e354274d356d2dcabc.jpgfe95172215ef909ad455115e3fbc3d22.jpgfa9f09f37f72d9678348dfff66157875.jpg

It's great, it rides better than stock, because it's off the lower bump stops on the lower A arm.

It's about 1 3/4"-2" raise. I made sure to keep good space between the upper A arm and the stop for it (it's straight metal) so the ride isn't affected. Make sure to add shock extensions though, I made the mistake at first of not doing that, and I had clunking in certain situations, annoying more than anything.

That’s all I want is 2” tops up front. I guess I’ll start with shock extensions and turn factory keys.

How’s your CV look? I’ll be doing before and after angle photos as well, of the CV.
