I bought mine new the last day of April to get the truck month incentives. Feel I got a nice deal and am very happy with the truck. I came from a 06 Duramax crew.4e7fdb510910003117e02743ec3dc54c.jpge21774cb958251ea8e214a28f6a09078.jpg

No regrets yet. Obviously a 3/4 ton diesel is going to tow better but this does surprisingly well and my trailer probably only 5-6k fully loaded.001c842cc6f07be3666cee19003868b3.jpg7c6dc3f01fd1037ed63853bf1bbe44ab.jpg

Well guys, it finally happened with the 2019's coming out and all these dealers trying to move their new and used 18's I broke down and upgraded my 2014 GMC 1500 to a Certified 2018 Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71 w/ only 2700 miles! I am pretty excited about it, she's bone stock and she won't last that way for long.

Going from 35's to stocks is going to be quite the transition at first, but don't fret! There are changes coming soon and I figured I would track my build right here, hope y'all will enjoy!

It already started yesterday as I did some research and discovered my K & N cai will fit on the 2018, so I pulled that off and put the stock intake back on, also took the hidden light bar out of the grill, and of course took my good ole trusty tool box off (this will be truck number 5 for the tool box!). I placed an order just a few minutes ago and there are more goodies coming soon!

Please let me know if y'all have any comments, ideas, or questions!

I bought mine last month as a managers demo, Summit White LTZ with the 6.2 and NHT package. Mine is totally smooth at all speeds and the 8-speed is flawless. Just kind of wished I had the color matched front end, will probably end up doing away with the chrome. I wanted the 3.42 rear axle because I new I would be going to larger tires and a small lift on it.

My 6.2 with 323 gears moves these 34” Ridge Grapplers without breaking a sweat, you’ll be fine. Congrats on your new 6.2, YOU GONNA LOVE IT! Here’s mine with recent 285/60/20 Ridge Grapplers added on.

That's good to hear, I recently bought a new boat and my 14 towed it alright between my house and the lake but longer drives it gets tedious at best. I was contemplating buying a 2500 but I just couldn't bring myself to write that big of a check lol

How was the deal you got on a CPO vs get a brand new one with all the current incentives?

I will say I seriously contemplated buying a new one but the deal I got on this one was just a little too sweet to pass up. It would've cost me around $6,000 more to go to an 18 with 2000 less miles, so this CPO w/ 2700 miles just made more sense to me.

Btw, I thought LTZ Z71’s only came with 20” wheels? All my past LTZ Silverados didn’t have a smaller wheel option, even though we’re all pretty sure you’re going to personalize this pretty truck. Still, you may want to check and make sure you weren’t stiffed cause the chrome 20”s will bring more when you sell them. Good luck and God Bless!

Almost all of them do come with the 20’s but personally I wasn’t a huge fan of them. So I was specifically looking for an LTZ with the 18’s, there isn’t a lot of them out there. But I appreciate y’all looking out for me!

Hey Tygriff13, I recently purchased a 2018 GMC SLT Z71 and looking to set it up like the one you had. My only problem is I don't know weather to go with 3in leveling kit, or 3.5inrc lift or if either of those will clear 35s on the stock 20s. What 4in lift did you have?

thanks in advance!

Hey man, on my 2014 GMC I had a 3.5in RC lift, with some heavy trimming I was able to clear 35’s on stock 20’s with no rub. But if you’re trying to clear 35’s with minimal to no cutting I would recommend going with the 4”.

Im sure either way it’ll look great! Congrats on the truck!
