I will say I seriously contemplated buying a new one but the deal I got on this one was just a little too sweet to pass up. It would've cost me around $6,000 more to go to an 18 with 2000 less miles, so this CPO w/ 2700 miles just made more sense to me.

Nice truck! Congrats!

y man, on my 2014 GMC I had a 3.5in RC lift, with some heavy trimming I was able to clear 35’s on stock 20’s with no rub. But if you’re trying to clear 35’s with minimal to no cutting I would recommend going with the 4”.

Im sure either way it’ll look great! Congrats on the truck!

Thank you sir, I'm new to this site and this is my first gm truck but have been searching for a while for the right set up which is exactly like your old one since I'm extremely ocd. I thought about the 3.5in leveling kit, but heard it puts the axles and control arms at a bad angel (unlike my 12 f150 that that was leveled on 35s). Do you recommend the 3.5in lift from rough country? ive also heard they are just as bad as a leveling kit... so that's why I'm torn on what to get. thanks a lot for the input, ill try to figure out how to upload a picture.

Haha thank you, it was an exclusive deal!

Look in the modifications section. A lot of us have put blistien 5100 shocks on to safely lift the front .50” .75.” 1.5” 2.0” without any adverse effects.

You our can also go with a 2.5” or less spacer if you don’t want to change shocks

I would, but none of those will completely level it out or clear 35s.. so my only option is 3.5in leveling kit or lift unfortunately. (My neighbor has the same truck with a 2.5in leveling kit and it’s far from level)

I’ve got a 2.25” billet aluminum bottom and upper front space kit and a 1” added rear. New 285/60/20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers all around and yes slight rub when backing up which I took care of that with a shark scissor.

My personal preference, I do not like having shocks alone (leveling 5100’s) lift my vehicle cause if you ever have a strut shock failure you’ll drop causing serious issues having over sized tires. I’d highly recommend billet aluminum spacers and this way you can just swap out shocks if you want to without having to buy coiled shocks costing a lot more than regular struts.

Forgot to mention, the 285/60/20 KO2’s I had on barely rubbed compared to the Ridge Grapplers cause Ridge Grapplers are actually a bit larger diameter.

2018 GMC Sierra 1500, CrewCab, Z71 4X4, 6.2, 2.25” level up front, added 1” rear. You need to know this, your fuel mileage “WILL” drop as well as you braking and acceleration as soon as you add on these much heavier tires.

Approx cost:

$700.00 parts and labor front, rear level and alignment.

Nitto Ridge Grappler Tires with life warranty approx: $1700.00

Wheels Approx: $1500.00 (forgot offset)

Bilstein 5100 shocks with install Approx: $700.00

This gives you an idea of what you’d save doing it yourself, saving approximately $800.00

Absolutely! I’d highly recommend for you to checkout customoffsets.com you’ll find your truck on there just by entering your truck year, specs, wheels you’re looking at etc... then, you’ll see what others like ours have done. Good luck and God Bless!
