No start, No crank

Hello All,

 

This is my first post here and I have a tough issue. Going to try to give you all info I have.

 

2003 Silverado 1500 

5.3 Engine with Drive by wire

4spd automatic

 

I have a no start and no crank situation. I have replaced ignition switch and did ground big 3 upgrade. There is no power coming out of ignition switch on yellow wire when key is at start position.

I have power on the red wire, fuses and relays are good.

 

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

When you replaced the ignition switch, did you make sure you didn't bump that little toothed wheel? If it rotated a little bit before you reassembled everything, your "start" position might only be the "run" position

Got it fixed. Who ever installed the ignition switch before I bought the truck didn't install it correctly. It was a few teeth off not allowing the key to move far enough to the start position to crank.

Now starts just fine. Thanks
