You’re welcome but credit goes to whoever mentioned it prior to me attempting to change the read/write switch. Evidently many dealers are unaware or quite forgetful.

I'm not sure if my issue is different from everyone else but I was getting the SD removed message in my 2019 Sierra Denali. After a little trouble shooting I noticed that the usb and usbc in that area didnt have power. Had nothing to do with the SD card. But, since GM is on strike, I have to wait for my parts to come in....... The little black box that houses the usb, usbc and sd needs to be replaced.

I have run into the SD card removed error and had the card and module replaced. Fixed it for a few days but then it came back. I was about to schedule another trip to the dealer when my brother-in-law, a dealership service manager asked if i was using a real apple cable to connect my phone or an aftermarket cable. He said that had been a known issue on other vehicles. I knew that couldn’t be the problem but changed cables to prove him wrong. I ate a huge plate of crow because that cleared it up and it hasn’t happened since I swapped out the amazon lightening with an actual apple lightening cable. Go figure.

Hp Thompson is DaMan I picked up my new 2019 yesterday (112 miles so far) and I kept keep getting those exact same messages that Hp Thompson posted the pictures of. I just pulled the SD card from the center console location and Yup the tab was in the locked position. Slid the little tab and popped it back in and no more messages.

Now moving on to the next issue MY HEATED STEERING WHEEL DOES NOT WORK!!!!!!!!!! I know, I know, cry me a river but man I paid for a truck that has the heated steering wheel and I expect (demand) it to function Hahaha. Not sure there is a easy fix for it though, the button when pushed makes the light come on for a second but it will not stay on and no heat.

After updating to 807 and replacing the SD Card and card receptacle, GM now wants to replace the radio control module, which requires two visits, one where they need to get the number off the current unit and another to replace same.

I want them to go to back to 509, the last known working version which had no problem at all.

Has anyone been successful in getting a dealer to go back to an earlier software version?

Any other updates anyone? Please provide the latest status.
