Sirius requires convenience package II! Trail boss cp2 requires buckets!

If I’m reading correctly, for LT, RST, and LT Trail boss, Sirius (U2K) only comes in the convenience package II (PCM). That by itself seems kinda crazy. I would have thought Sirius was a pretty basic feature in 2019.

Now for the even crazier part...on the LT trail boss, PCM, “Requires (PCH) Convenience Package with Bucket seats”

Convenience package without buckets won’t suffice? I don’t see what one has to do with the other. Essentially, you can’t get Sirius without buckets on the trail boss! I like the bench but want Sirius.

It's all about the wiring harness.

Packages for convenience, safety or otherwise are driven by the appropriate wiring harnesses and what they feed.

They can become complicated.

The LT convenience package II says “Requires (PCL) Convenience Package.” No mention of buckets. Weird that the wiring on the LT would be any different from the RST and LT Trail Boss.

Actually looks like you can’t get bucket seats on the LT anymore!

No offense to those that have Sirius/XM, but its turning into the next CD player with the advent of all these cellular apps such as Pandora, Spotifiy, Stitcher, Apple Music, iTunes, podcast sources, etc.  Plus Sirius/XM kinda sucks.  Most of the music channels play the same 20 songs every 2 hours.   

 

I can see why GM is slowing/stopping the standardization of it and went balls out with Apple CarPlay, Andriod Auto and now even their own in vehicle apps.

Correct unless you go RST (aka color matched bumper LT) or LT Trail Boss.

I agree for the most part but I will be driving this truck primarily to the river and back, through the desert where cell service doesn’t work...

Sirius seriously sucks... They just play the same ole songs over and over like FM radio...
