I have an 05 Silverado that already has an aftermarket muffler on it. I’m not sure what brand but I’m assuming Flowmaster. From the muffler back it’s all rusted so I’m going to replace that part anyways. I want it to be louder and was thinking about the Borla XR1. It sounds damn good from all of the YouTube videos I’ve seen. 

 

I was thinking about short tube headers too

 

Anyone have any experience with that particular muffler?  I’m going to dump the exhaust just behind the axle. Don’t want anything showing.
