no running lights on drivers side

I had no rear running lights on my 2008 GMC 1500, but the brake lights and turn signals worked fine. All bulbs were good, and all the fuses for those positions tested good, too. Research on the web led me to suspect I had a bad ground somewhere. I took off the junction plate back by the rear bumper on the drivers side, with four sockets running into it, and unplugged the sockets. I noticed that some of the blades were corroded, and one was so corroded it had broken off in the socket. This was obviously my problem, so I ordered a new junction plate- Dorman # 923012. I installed the new one, using dielectric grease, and my problem was solved.  Here's a photo of the old plate-you can see where one blade has corroded off.
