I didn't know what to call it but I'm talking about the grove thing in the circle536b214de8b157e32c6420e2ab7cb1d5.jpg

Yes I spent some time trying to make it as close to its factory shape as possible.

I scored a never installed whipple kit with hp tuner off of a guy in CA who needed some money,so I got a great deal. I've never had a blower, but have owned a few turbo motors. My good friend I used to race with convinced me they were awesome on the street. So I'm pumped to get the opportunity to try one out on a daily driver. Installation went really smooth. The only problem I had was the intercooler reservoir tank and plumbing seems to be for a tahoe,so I had to make a couple brackets and make a different hose on the exit side. I didn't take enough pics of this step sorry.fe2257f86c232d623a261737e7064429.jpg4507b4815407bebca6f850b49cb91b65.jpg6fea21d064ab3e7fd51c77c246fff729.jpg8fa6c2ca3fd657648c301ea81942eb2f.jpgfbe2d0767366b467bf98e46c4293a513.jpg4b7334f5a39f080f69e407a9f9fa14bb.jpgd0e9400e45a894756e087e6a7970de57.jpg

I’m enjoying your work. Should be fun to drive when you are done.
Thanks Red! I really hope so. I honestly intended on this thing being a stock daily driver, but after I saw the hole in the block,I figured hey why not a cam? Then, why not a blower cam in case I decided to add one . Then hell I gotta get a converter....well you know how the story goes. Haha

Got a repairable LED light unfortunately it was chrome so I had to stand and prep it for paint. Still looking for the other side. Hid lights are more common, but I wanted the LTZ trim because of the look I was going for.

I will be interested in hearing your opinions on the Whipple after a few hundred miles. I am looking to pull the trigger on a supercharger after the beginning of the year. I am kind of leaning towards a Maggie even though I think the Whipple looks better and supposedly makes more power. I am a little concerned with the heat soak, I live in Phoenix. I am not looking for max power, just a fun daily driver. I haven't been able to find anyone that has put a large number of miles on one yet and I am looking for reliability. The Magnuson runs the same internals as the ones on the CTS V and ZR1 so I have to imagine those are good for upwards of 100k with proper maintenance.

The whipple is better top end and the maggie is better low end basically. But the whipple will outdo the maggie as its a 2.9

I will definitely let you know. I should be heading to the dyno soon for a proper tune. I just had back surgery so I'm a little behind.I would consider an e85 set up if possible. Will help in that climate with heat soak imo

Im not looking for max power but I do want something that is going to give me years of reliable power.

Trigger Man,

Right now, an E85 conversion is not in the budget but I may consider meth.

Maggie 2.3. Gives you room to upgrade later too. But either is a great choice. Cant go wrong

Well finally got more time to post some shots of progress on Harvey. Body is painted and I am going to attempt smoothing out ALL of the textured plastic to give it a completely blacked out look. Will post a video or two on that process. fc9280f50e495866cee6e1dc4156ae5b.jpga713bd382c60e4b63e85afbf1deb3779.jpg80751f847b0e343bc0d8ef5019292ae0.jpg7a87820fecced55e338eec97f76d56e9.jpg9019ebfa89cc145f49f5b8225738f348.jpg

My plans for exhaust is to put this Callaway stuff on. It was given to me so I figured why not try it. Originally it was on a crew cab but after measuring it looks like if I cut the second cat off, or resonator, whichever one you want to call it. It will give me the right length for the standard cab. Any opinions on how loud it will be?b641548e0690c338bf4041b4a3d68e2b.jpg
