Well the gas milage for tank one was 17.2 (80% highway minor traffic)) and tank two was 14.3 (half city and moderate traffic and more short trips).  This better than the f150 5.4 we have on the farm and better than my obs 99 1500 5.7 that had 237k miles.

The 6.0 is a great engine. Remember its a 7,000 lb truck so mpg is NOT going to be great.

Agreed.  I got it more for reliability.  A 20 year engine in the making, can't go wrong.
