Front Valance (Air Dam) Trim vs Removal

After breaking off a couple clips by hitting snow with the valance I removed mine completely. I can see with the shape of the Chevys trimming may be a better option. Only thing is I think mine would look better with the chrome center, so if a blacked out bumper wants to trade....

I cracked mine in the snow also. It's now in the trash. I'm not paying $200 for a new one. Looks better without it anyway.

Mine stays pretty dirty, but these show how much more clearance you'll get just from trimming it. MotionMan did his while on the truck. I would save myself the time and do that if I could go back and do it again.

Just take your time, I taped a line a little lower than I wanted then finished it off taking a little at a time, you can always take too little and work your way to where you want but you can't add material if you go too far.  I used a file and a sander to get to my final line and got a nice even smooth line.

Thanks for all the info. I personally don't think the trucks look "finished" with the full removal. I haven't had any issues, but have thought about trimming mine.

I agree with you. I took mine off - sorry but the Sierra does not look “finished” with it completely off

it def looks like something is missing now. I may throw it back on
