LUXURY TRUCK FACEOFF -- 2019 Chevy Silverado vs. 2019 RAM 1500

Recommended Posts

At 2:46 is the infamous HEMI TICK! My RAM Limited made that noise on every dry startup. It always sounded like it was going to blow up. Dealer said it was designed to sound like that. I lemoned that POS and FCA bought it back for multiple problems. Still lost my a$$. Never Chrysler again. Don't let the interior fool ya, it's lipstick on a PIG!

The giant screen in the ram is flashy and every reviewer seems to love it which is a shame because I feel like it is a step backward in usability and function from what GM has... and given the constant denigrating commentary towards the GM I fear the next version will go for look at me distraction over useful capability.

Go save 2,000 dollars and get a RAM with the bling!  Go work the piss out of it everyday and see what you got at 150K?  Chevy trucks have never been made to look cool?  Win a street race?  Or sound loud?  What they do is work harder and last longer than RAM,FERD.  Chevy has it's faults no doubt but these LT engines and K2's T1's will go the distance.  By all means go buy your fast, cool truck.............

Around here they have the 2019 RAMS discounted as much as $12 to 13 thousand. A lot of them sitting on the dealer lots.  :smash:

I've posted elsewhere on this site that in my area there are some Ram dealers with huge amounts of new 17', 18' and 19's all at massive discounts. It's a great way to boost sales figures but probably not good for long term health and definitely not good for resale value.

Yes because the DI and piston slap on GM is super quiet? Like the truck don’t clunk all the time ? Lemon? My 14 Sierra was bought back due being a lemon and my 16 Sierra has had nothing but issues. You know what ? All trucks have issues. Only misinformed people think GM is perfect lol. But at same time I also know this is a GM site and major nut hugging going on, all good I get it.

Any links to these deals ? Can you post them and dealer your taking about  ?  You can get a new 19 Sierra Denali at Laura for 8k off currently. I would like to see which ram dealer has 12k off their new 19s?

The RAM dealer just a couple of miles down from my work has 2019's out front on the lot showing 14K off.

Have you ever owned a GM truck? Piston slap and DI tick are a way of life for us.

Yes, plenty of GM Trucks. My 2000 was rock solid until 100K with a 4 in Rancho lift. This  truck  served me well, but it did have the cladder noise on startup. I'm assuming it was carbon build up on the heads.
