2019 6.2L MPG

I have a new 2019 Silverado with the 10 speed 6.2L. I have about 1300 miles on it. The average mpg that I have been able to get is 16 mpg. I feel like this is low. Not to mention I have been babying it. FYI, I did put some bigger tires ( 275/65/20 which is a 34 inch) and a level on it but I wouldn’t think it would make that big of a difference. I had the same setup on my 2017 6.2L and I feel like I got better MPG.

 

Can others tell tell me what they are getting in their 6.2L?

Do you use premium? 

 

Give it some time and i wouldn't worry about it until you get closer to 10k miles.

Yeah I use premium. 

 

Even on the highway, it’s hard to get better than 17 MPG AVG. 

 

Hopefully it’ll get better over time like you said.

Hopefully so.  Just will have to wait and see.  Plus it is winter time but then you live in the south so that shouldn't matter.  I know they change the fuel up north and it effects the MPG.

If it makes you feel any better, my 6.0 2500HD gets 11 mpg on winter gas, and is slooooooow compared to your rocket ship.

Did a small road trip over thanks giving. Got ~21 on the backroads. Totally stock 2019 Denali.

I think the level and bigger tires hurt a little bit. But around 18-20 I would think is the average. Give it take

I would like to put the same tire size on my truck do you have any pictures? What brand tire did you go with and is your truck a trail boss or AT4?

I have the LTZ Z71 with 6.2L. 

I went with Nitto Trail Grapplers. 275/65/20

I have a at4 6.2 With Dura track tires live up north east I’m only getting about 12 miles to gallon mostly city driving

I’m a little heavy footed

 Now that it’s cold I’ve been using the remote start quite a bit
