HELP PLEASE - TPW of 12/3 and Time to Build

Hoping somebody can educate me.  I have a GMC AT4 ordered with a TPW of this week, 12/3.  Event code status is 3400 which is "order broadcast for production (i.e., loaded on assembly plant computers).  I've been under the impression the truck would be built this week as it's the TPW week and all is on schedule according to GM Chat with no constraints.  What confuses me is the GM Chat representative stated yesterday the truck would take 2 to 3 weeks to build.  I find this unusual and expected it would be built this week (i.e., the TPW week) provided not hiccups at the plant.

Does it take longer than a week to build a truck?!?!?!

TIA

TPW  is target production week.  Emphasis on target.  That is when GM hopes to get it into production.  I wouldn't worry to much.  You still have some time before the holiday break that I would suspect GM takes.  My TPW is 12/31/2018.  I don't expect to get my truck until the end of Jan 2019.

It doesn't take two to three weeks to build. I ordered my Trail Boss the middle of July, it was on constraint until middle of September and at that time they showed an estimated build the week of October 15. dealer info showed truck as being delivered to shipper on October the 17th , dealer received truck on October 26th. Once truck is built and delivered to shipper it depends on how it is shipped, on rail or truck, rail takes longer and sometimes they sit at shipper a couple of weeks before being shipped. If your truck is being built this week your dealer should see it in two -three weeks. I know how you feel about waiting, I was the same way. Hope you don't have to wait much longer.

Maybe it's just me, but I'd be a little nervous about any vehicle built close to the holidays, assembly people have a lot on their minds about said holidays, not to mention egg-nog. :sigh:
