DRL Won't come on on Auto Setting

Hello! I have a 2007 Silverado Classic, and I'm having an issue with my DRLs. When i unlock my truck, the DRLs come on along with my reverse lights, but when it is day and the headlight setting is on "auto", my headlights come on. I think it is my Light sensor that is bad, but looking for other opinions. TIA

If headlights stay on all the time, then your sensor in the dash is in need of replacing. First make sure you don't have anything covering the sensor including a dash mat

I've never tried this but maybe you can hold a flashlight to the sensor and see if they come on. If the DRL are coming on even when it is light outside, it is registering it is dark.

Thanks guys, ordered a new sensor today and I'll update if it fixes the issue
