In the above picture it shows 6 bolts on the manifold and the correct bolt kits for my truck have 10 versus 12 for the one in the picture. Did they just use that manifold for illustration? I also noticed what looks like aftermarket/upgraded spark plug wires. I've heard that people have had to swap stock plug wires for MSD's to take care of fitment issues with headers. Wondering if I'll have any issues with just my set of shorties or if I should just go ahead and order a set. Don't have any problem putting them on if need be, but it wouldn't hurt my feelings to run the stock wires for a little longer than the current 28k miles lol Just for display purposes. It's the same process. Spark-plugs and wires are a GTREAT idea now that you're there. Yes you want to use upgraded Wires that are adjustable. You simply bend the out of the way. DenaliX14
It is for Illustration purposes. If I was you I would upgrade the plugs and wires while you are in there. You won't find a more convenient time. I would also jump to the MSD or other performance brand. you just bend the plug out of the way. It helps a great deal. bmp5484
Found these https://www.texas-speed.com/p-5227-msd-super-conductor-spark-plug-wires-for-2014-gen-5-lt-based-engines-black.aspx Doesn't say anything about adjustable but it's the only result that came up when I searched. I appreciate all your responses!

I appreciate all your responses! They just "Bend" after you put them in. NP, pretty soon I will be posting How to Videos on stuff like that. Here are are a few references sites I use when looking for parts. https://www.onallcylinders.com/2018/02/21/l83-l8b-5-3l-ecotec3-engine-specs-performance-bore-stroke-cylinder-heads-cam-specs-more/ L83 Specs page https://www.carid.com overall everything you can think of. GREAT prices for lighting etc. https://www.summitracing.com/truck-suv?ibanner=SREMSTSJTruckSUVPage&cm_sp=market-segment-_-truck-suv-_-accessories-parts Okay site, kind of limited to our trucks. This link is set up for the "Truck" search https://www.gmpartsdirect.com I use this to identify part numbers and cross check for other motors. For example the LT1 (Camaro/Corvette) share almost every part for the L86. Did you know you can swap the L83 intake for the L86, which means you can slap on a 92MM Throttle Body from BBK. I found that out by looking at the part numbers and made a few purchases then BOOM. More airflow! https://www.jegs.com Another general parts site. Pretty good sales/coupons. https://www.tickperformance.com Great for heads/cams/Valves etc. https://www.stillen.com/catalog/product/view/id/123307/s/t-rex-2014-2015-billet-grille-main-insert-1-pc-black-blk-billet-grille-aluminum-black-20208b/category/1221/ Great for cosmetic and great deals. https://www.onallcylinders.com/2018/02/08/lt1-2014-present-engine-specs-performance-bore-stroke-cylinder-heads-cam-specs-more/ Awesome reference page for all things GM engine related. https://gearstar.com/transmissions/gm/ Transmission upgrades. https://www.monstertransmission.com/About-Us_ep_7.html what I will be going with to build up my 6L80e. http://www.driveshaftspecialist.com/Truckhtml/Chevy-GMC.html Driveshaft upgrades. mikedeezxxx
Check out PCMofNC.com. They sell wire sets and plug wire socks. I use these on my Trailblazer SS w headers. 3 years and no problems. They also sell a bunch of other items for Silverado trucks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
