Yikes, this is what worries me about all the technology being put into vehicles these days...  If something goes wrong you are screwed and at the mercy of the dealership or someone with the correct scanner to diagnose.

I just bought my 2019 LT Trail Boss on Saturday and on Sunday after turning it on I got the same failures as you. There was maybe 3-4 hours total driving time. Brake light, malfunction, TCS light, and same warning as you had for limited speed. I could also feel a significant reduction in braking power. I stopped driving it and came back a few hours later and everything was clear. The next day, 48 hours after purchase, it happened again. Im taking it to the dealer today.

Is your problem fixed and if anybody else had this problem was yours fixed?

The Engine and Transmission System is not performing as expected. An issue has been detected in the Engine Electrical System, including the Charging and Starting System that monitors and controls the engine starting system and 12V battery charging system. If the charge system light stays on, or comes on while driving, there may be a problem with the electrical charging system. Driving while this light is on could drain the battery. If a short distance must be driven with the light on, be sure to turn off all accessories, such as the radio and air conditioner.

They actually performed a few different flashes on my truck. Chevrolet I guess is aware that this has occurred in small amount of trucks. This is happening to only trucks with the upgraded cluster. Since I had this done a while back I have not had any issues happen again with the truck.

So I went do the dealership and they updated the software.  It's a known issue covered under service bulletin ID# 5279730

One of my friends just bought a High Country, 438 miles and at dealership unable to fix. Same symptoms as above. They can’t figure out the problem. Been in shop 3 weeks, only owned it 4 days before problem. He wants his money back.

Well, symptoms are back again. Looks like the software update yesterday didnt fix the problem.

I dont know if this has anything to do with it but yesterday I put the vehicle in 4Low and back into 2High. I didnt drive with it in 4Low I just was checking it. This morning the failures occurred again. This is similar to the first.

@tybuch2003 any chance same for you?

@captainbrent can you ask your friend?

Summary

Bought truck Saturday, Sunday ABS failure and then disappeared,  Monday came back, Tuesday dealership with "fix", and Wesnesday morning back at dealership missing more work. Ahhhhh

the said the put a new trans in put it shifts strange when pulling up to stop sign or when pulling away

I am experiencing that too but don't have the upgraded instrument cluster. The loud thud is unsettling and sometimes the rear wheels slow down quickly, resulting in shuddering and loss of traction. I called my dealer today, they said they had a few mention that so I'm not alone here. It was so bad the rear end was off by a foot and I was at a different angle. Not sure if the computer will show that. Only happened once and I'm hoping it's just the transmission getting used to me.

Ok got the truck back today and they said when the other dealership uploaded service bulletin 5279730 they did not clear the memory error codes which caused it top happen again.  Let's see what happens tomorrow.

I just wanted to give a update guys. I have had no issues with the truck since I had to get it towed to the dealership and they performed the updates and flash. I did just knock on wood!!! I have enjoyed and will continue to enjoy my High Country, to be honest this might be my favorite truck I have owned so far.

Sorry for the delay, I picked up the truck yesterday which happened to be my birthday so it was a busy day :) Unfortunately, they didn't find anything wrong whatsoever. They saw the codes from history but nothing was active during their troubleshooting. They did some tests and verified all hydraulics/brakes were working properly and that's about it and told me to just keep an eye on it if it happens again :(

No recalls or software updates of any kind were performed. Now every time I start the truck I'm just waiting for those errors to pop up again haha. The truck is functioning 100% though so that is good.

I had all of these issues back in January when I first brought the truck home from the dealer. They never found anything and I never saw the issue again. However, just a few days ago I had some some similar errors, not the exact same as before but some similar.

The errors I was seeing on the display were

  • Park Assist Off
  • Service Trailer Brake System
  • Steering Assist is Reduced Drive with Care
  • Service ESC

Brought it in to the dealer and they mentioned there were a couple recalls as well and that they'd look into it. Picked up the truck yesterday and here is what they found/did.

  1. Service Update Bulletin - Trailer Integration Module Software error: Updated trailer module calibrations
  2. Service Update Bulletin - eBoost Control Module Software False Detection with DTC: Updated Brake Module
  3. Check engine light (original reason I brought the truck in): 1716 Terminal not fully seated, right front wheel speed sensor internal wire break, confirmed complaint. Check engine light for invalid data received for right front wheel speed sensor, code C0508 Right front wheel speed signal input low. Found no speed reading while driving. Verified wheel speed sensor plugged in. No damage found on harness from sensor to module. Checked connector C140, found male terminal 9 not fully seated on circuit 872, grid B12. Seated terminal & verified staying in connector, cleared codes & spinning wheel in the air right front signal detected, when pulling vehicle out of stall sensor no longer reading again, wiggling harness for right front sensor intermittent sensor reading, ordered right front wheel speed sensor. Replaced sensor & road tested vehicle, all OK.

So for me looks like a bad wheel speed sensor was causing the majority of my problems. At this time all looks to be OK and no current errors on the display. Happy to have my truck back.

I just purchased a 2019 Silverado 1500 Custom Crew Cab 2 weeks ago. They towed it back to the dealer this morning. I tried to drive it to work yesterday and the parking brake would not release. A tow driver came out yesterday, and he got it to release (while I was at work using another car). then I received two e-mails from On Star. One said a problem was detected with the Stabilitrack Stability Traction System. The second said a problem was detected with the anti-lock brake system, and I needed to get the truck serviced within 7 days. Since I didn't feel safe driving it there, I called GM's Roadside Assistance and had it towed back to the dealer today. According to the tow truck driver, the 2019 Silverado has a new electronic brake system they (GM) haven't used before. He said he's been towing a LOT of cars and trucks lately that have this new electronic brake system. I went to the dealership to get a loaner truck, and I asked them about the new system. The advisor there confirmed that there is a new brake system on the 2019 trucks, and they are having issues with it. (That would have been good to know before I bought it 2 weeks ago!) He told me they have parts and they have software upgrades to fix it, but it's going to be at least two days before he can even get it in the shop. We're a GM family and we've owned lots of brand new GM cars, but this is our first pickup truck. Has anyone else had this same issue? If so, were they able to resolve it successfully? I don't want to be in and out of the dealership every other week getting stuff fixed now. This is really disheartening.
