toddgotfish
changed the wires , plugs , and did a super duty injector cleaner to no avail there is no loss in power or worsening of it and you can only tell at idle with or without a/c on i can pop the hood and watch that bolt at the top of the throttle body it'll move about 1/8" either way but now with my magnaflow installed you can pick it up at the exhaust just sounds like a slight miss or a burst of extra fuel into one or more of the cylinders anyone else had this problem did'nt know if it may be a sensor problem(AIC,TPS,ETC.) any advice much appreciated Todd
bigtruck21
Is this something that just happened or has been going on for some time. In another forum we were talking about the 03's having a weird idle, with a slight vibration felt every 15 or more seconds...kind of like a sub thumpin'. They thought it might have to be with the timing, but someone else pulled up a tsb for wrong sparkplugs installed in some trucks causing this. ClipperSkipper
Yep plugs are incorrect, as well as the gap. Read my spark plug reply above. Check for buldup at the base of the throttle body plate as well. Have a great one!
toddgotfish
as stated plugs are new and applicable and gapped correctly i took the throttle body off (just for possibility) and cleaned it spotless also about 6 "inside the intake all back together and guess what Still have my miss-hicc-up

chev_tech
Keep on shotgunnin' parts, you'll get it! Eventially, one of those parts will fix it. Too bad you've had alot of bad dealer experience, there are alot of great technicians out there in the field. I've done tons of factory training and take my job seriously, and it just ticks me off sometimes on this forum to hear all the bad mouthing of "stealerships". Everyone is out to make a livin, and hey, sometimes we make educated guesses on a fix. But i know alot of great techs are on this forum and give some good advice, to help out people like you, thats all. Good luck on your truck.
