If I'm not mistaken, the new 6.6 gasser is a reworked 6.0, nothing to do with the half ton 6.2.....

6.0 = ls gen 4

6.2 = lt gen 5

6.6 = lt gen 5

the LT is a completely redesigned motor from the LS. The only reason the 5.3 and 6.2 discplacement haven’t changed is because they saved a few bucks on tooling costs.

Pretty much.  It's nice because the rods and crank interchange between the LS and the LT stuff.

The 6.6 is a stroked LT 6.2.. same bore size.  All they did was cast the block in iron instead of aluminum and forget about tgexafm hardware.   Pretty decent chance it uses the 6.2s heads as well although a person needs to get one to know for sure.  I want one to drop in place of a 5.3 in an 2014 to 2018 half ton.  Mild mods should be easily over 500 hp.  Gm thankfully never changes much making modding a good time!
