Truck - stock 2000 Silverado 4x4, Z71

 

I got my truck stuck - bottomed out on the frame in mud. Anyway.. I noticed when it was stuck I would give it gas and one of the front tires wouldn't spin.  Is this by design, or should both front tires always spin all the time?
