I sometimes use Amsoil but mostly use the Mobil1 Annual Protection every 4K miles, Wonder how it compares to the Mobil1 Annual Protection?

Mobile1 is great oil but I’m gonna stick to AMSOIL Signature Series ? % Synthetic  no oil debate here, haven’t used Mobile1 except in my Honda.

I don't see it listing dexos1™ Gen 2 .  I'm sure in time it will get approved.  They just haven't paid GM yet.   To many trucks on the market for it not to be approved.  That is a ton of oil changes.

Black02Silverado is correct - No Dexos certification currently for the new Mobil 1 Truck & SUV Synthetic oil.

Read it. Scratched my head and thought, "when was the last time I read so much print that said absolutely nothing".

I'll stay with Red Line.

I have used Pennzoil Platinum, Mobil 1, Valvoline, and *gasp* WalMart Supertech. All were Dexos rated and worked as they should.

Supertech really isn't a bad oil. In my area, it's a Mobil oil rebranded.

You guys tripping out about the lack of Dexos certification are funny.

If something catastrophic was to happen to your engine there is no possible way GM could determine the oil you were using was Dexos approved or not. Absolutely none

you guys are paying a premium for a stamp on a bottle meanwhile the oil you’re using is no different from an identical oil without the stamp.
