Just wondering?

I installed my westers pcm while the engine was still a little warm. I have drove it for about 230 miles. Seems like it is sucking more gas than usual. Just wondering if it would be a good idea to disconnect the battery for a half an hour to let the computer reset and then relearn everything again?

I actually picked up some MPG's which surprised me because I was stuffing my right foot into it alot harder than I normally do...

I started to disconnect the battery and then realized my backup car alarm would go off and I forgot how to disconect it so I did the Westers install w/o disconecting the battery. I haven't noticed any problems and think it is just one of those things they recommend for liability reasons.

Worth a try to reset the PCM. Have you cleaned your MAFS? (The #1 cause of poor gas mileage and/or performance.) If not, clean it then reset.
