Bigger tires on OEM 18’s?

Recommended Posts

Hey all. I have a 2018 Silverado LT that I plan to level in the near future. Being that I’m going with a small 2.5” level, I’m not really looking to do anything crazy as far as suspension and even wheels/tires go. I’ve done tons of searching and can’t really find any good sources so I’m asking here. Pictured below is my truck and I was wondering if anyone has put bigger tires on the same OEM wheels that are on my truck. Just trying to get an idea on stance, looks, etc. My 2nd thought is to get a set of black 20” snowflake reps with something along the lines of a 295/55 or 305/55. Please post pics or lead me to someone that’s done it!

You can do a small 4.5” lift that won’t have the rough ride like the 2.5” level will and you won’t have rubbing issues or need to switch out your UCA’s either. My 18 ride quality was really harsh with leveling, Bilsteins and E rated tires until I lifted with a 4.5” CST Lift. Good luck

FWIW, I have the same wheels (which I love) on my '15.  I put a 1.5" level kit on the front, and recently put on a set of Cooper Discoverer in 275/65R18, so only one size up.  Just slightly bigger, no issue with any rubbing.

285/65R18 or 275/70R18 don't rub.  (I'm running 275/70s on stock 18s)

Some on here run 295/70R18 or 285/75R18 but I cant see how they dont rub the sway bar/uca

Do you have pictures?
