She gone Looks very similar to what you see when the oil pump gear on a Ford 5.0 Coyote fractures, although they use a more traditional gerotor-style pump. These oil pump gears are usually made of powdered metal which gives them excellent wear resistance. The downside is that powdered metal gears tend to be brittle and prone to failure due to fracture. Usually caused by vibration (harmonics). Any ideas on what might have caused the failure? Bad harmonic balancer pulley? AFM-related vibration?
