I know there have been a few posts about this, but has anyone successfully added a 1” or 1.5” leveling kit to a Trail Boss?  I read that some people have, but have not heard any updates or results. I ordered a 1” & 1.5” MotoFab off eBay, but wanted to check around before attempting to install. 4 Wheel Parts here in Orlando says it will put the CV joints at too much of an angle than they already are.

I have an AT4 and I put a 1.5" motofab leveling kit allowing me to fit 35's and my angles are fine. I'm also in Orlando if you want to see her in person

Just installed Rough Country 1.5” level kit for the Trail Boss. Pretty easy to do. I do, however, recommend you use a shop to compress the springs. The ones you can ‘rent’ from auto zone won’t compress them enough

Have had the Rough C ountry 1.5 level installed on mine for a couple months now. No issues, CV angles are fine. Clears 35x12.50R18 just fine on stock wheels no spacers. x2 on having a shop install kit though the strut springs on these trucks are stout.

How much they charge ya for installing it?   Trying to decide on doing this or lowering the rear a tad bit

I’m the service manager at a dealership so luckily for me nothing but I would have charged about 250 to install one

That’s the same question I had on my truck but ..I have a 10 in suspension with the stock cv joints and everything is perfect ..but my question is if I can still put 2 inches more with a Leveling kit on top of my suspension ,I was wondering if that’s not gonna affected my cv joints ..now that I’m gonna lift it little more ..if anyone knows, let me know if I can still put that on to of my suspension

      I just bought a 2021 GMC 1500 AT4.
LOVE how it rides, as is.  I just want it leveled.
no new tires or wheels necessary.

Went to 4wheel parts looking for a LEVELING KIT.  All they could suggest was the 2” readylift spacer with UCA ($1450 installed), or the Icon 3 1/2 suspension lift…coilovers, UCA’s, and rear shocks ($3,600 installed), which would technically only give me 1 1/2” over OEM for the AT4 (Apparently 2” is what I need to be level)
Not sure the Icon setup will get me level, but I know it will be a much better ride.
I’m conflicted. Will I notice the 1/2” rake the ICON setup will leave me with? Or does the ride quality of the ICON offset the lack of ride quality of the Readylift, the cost being it won’t be “level”.

Btw…I think the ride quality, as it is stock,  is ABSOLUTELY perfect.

      Thoughts?

      Thank you!!

The Trail Boss right after installing the Wicked W903 20x10 wheels and Federal 33x12.5 tires.

This was taken when the truck was fairy new and still had the stock wheels.

I installed the 2in Rough Country leveling kit on my 2021 1500 Silverado Custom model and I am getting a clicking noise when I accelerate and decelerate from my passenger side. There is also a louder metallic click when I turn into a driveway and when my front right passenger strut is compressed. This began a couple thousand miles after my kit was put on. It is driving me insane and I can’t seem to figure out what is causing this noise, has anyone had this issue with their newer Silverado’s? Attached is a video that has the clicking sound when I was braking today. Thanks in advance.

      Hello All,

New to this site, just bought a new 2021 Silverado LT Trail Boss a few weeks ago. One of the first things I am doing to this truck is upgrading the few halogen bulbs that GM decided to keep on it. The Rear backup and license plate lights all went super smooth, no issue. But when I went to remove the front blinker bulb from the housing I was faced with a different configuration than what I've seen. The place where you would normally find the circular grip for twisting out the bulb has a small hex head there in place, and it does not look to actually come apart (Please see attached picture). I think that I might have a different blinker than what normally comes with this trim (and I think it may already be LED) but I am unable to find anything online that resembles or mentions this configuration. I am only able to find the typical bulb backing which does not match mine.

Does anyone have insight to this or possibly know what kind of blinker I have? I have included a picture of the back of the blinker as well as the light housing itself as I think it too looks slightly different than others I have seen.

      Thanks in advance!
