this GM paint aint any good man lol. A well done repaint will be much better long term if op chooses to go that route

Figured that since insurance or car wash is paying for it that I can get it done right. Not like a cheap spray. My insurance said "restored to how it was before incident." So factor quality paint or better.

My offroad shop that did my lift has a reputable paint and body shop I'll probably take it to if I get to chose

No way.  Unless they take everything apart (which they won't) and respray it, it won't even be close.  Plus the factory paint is baked on.

But everyone has their own opinion...   :)

Update... back in January i got my truck tinted and had some bad results and I forgot the guy had offered to redo and throw in a nano ceramic wax job for free. Its the higher end 5 year one. Also had my pinstripe and badges removed. Looks so much cleaner.

It took away all the scratches that use to be there even some of the deeper ones!!

Yeah, dealer did it, I called to complain and they said they would fix it, but really there was nothing they could do, I polished most of it out
The dealer I used for my oil changes has a touch free machine.

High pressure can cause problems of its own, but it doesn't leave swirls from brushes or the flaps.

The one downside is that it comes out wet and not clean like I would do it, but it didn't hurt anything.
