Yeah that is some $$$ for a muffler and stainless tubing that is for sure.  They do get you since you can't just purchase a muffler.    What gets me is I signed up for email alerts and have yet to get any.  I wonder what happened?

Thanks for letting me know it is now available.  With work coming up here next week.  Not sure if I can get it and get it installed. or even want to pay the price.  Would be nice to hear a side by side sound test of the GM Performance exhaust and a Corsa. At least the GM you save $200.

1LM Performance has it with coupon for like $1233, but that's still a lot of coin for noise

Just an FYI, The only way you could ever get consistent dyno results would be to have a dyno inside a controlled room where the temps, humidity, air density, etc. are at a set constant. If you dyno something today where there is 20% humidity, then tomorrow where it is 45% humidity it will give you different results. Not saying that you really didn't loose some power but I doubt you lost what the chart is showing, it was probably exaggerated by variables in conditions.

Intakes are snake oil.

I ran the airaid MIT tube just for the sound on my previous 5.3 Sierra.

The cold air intakes where the cone filter sits out in the engine bay are a total joke. I watched a dyno on a 5.7L Hemi Durango.... put the intake on, it made +9whp, then the shop closed the hood and ran it 4 more times without letting it cool down over a period of less than 10 minutes the engine was pulling timing, IAT were up 20-30f compared to stock and the engine lost 14hp.

The GM CAI pulls cold air from in front of the vehicle.  Just like the stock system but without the silencing tubing.

Snake oil they are not

Blackbear did a study a few years ago with multiple CAIs. All showed gains some more than others. If I am not mistaken the stock box and MIT tube had the largest increase

Yep stock box with MIT tube gained the most which is essentially stock minus the silencer. Says alot.
