Factory aluminum 17 spare

I have been searching all weekend and could not find any info on the factory spare it is a black aluminum 8 spoke wheel and love the wheel and would like to find 3 Moore for the truck.

 

i figured you guys could help me out with this my truck is a 2014 with the NHT package if any of you guys could help me out with where to look or wheel name or number that would be awsome

I believe the spare is a steel wheel.

Try searching for that and see what you get.

I'm not gonna go out in the dark with a magnet to check, but I can guarantee you it's steel. The metal thickness is too thin to be aluminum.

Not a chance dude. Every spare I've had on a GM 1/2 ton truck or SUV was a steelie.

 

The wall thickness is just not enough for it to be aluminum. Literally sent you the GM part number for a spare for that year truck. It's steel.

Nah. I doubt it in this case.

I have NEVER seen any 1500 spare that was aluminum.

Steel wheels are able to be thinner walled and made extremely cheap while structurally matching the thicker machined AL alloy wheels. An aluminum wheel would have to be machined and much thicker.

My BS meter just snapped the needle.

I purchased the vehicle new. I have put a magnet to it this is not a steel wheel I will drop it tomorrow and try and upload pics

Gm did put aluminum spares in some of these trucks. My 16 Sierra has a 7 spoke black painted aluminum wheel.

You swear it's an aluminum wheel? Shit, it looks like one from the photo.

 

Why would they do this? Steel wheels are so cheap.

This "other names" says steel, but I'm pretty sure it's aluminum.
