Took a trip to the beach this weekend. Remembered this thread and reseted my trip on my trip back. Driving out of the sand in AUTO AWD...About 7 miles of 8mph stop and go line to get out of South Padre Island...3 more miles of city at 45mph...then some good highway at 75-80 mph back home and averaged the 17.9mpg with my 5.3L and 32.3” (275/65r18) duratracs plus a soft tonneu cover if that makes any difference. Drove to work the next day through a city/highway mix and hit the 100miles and final of 17.1mpg. Definitely can’t see myself beating the original posters mpg. This was at night time also with 89 degree temperature.
