Dash light and radio dim in the middle of a sunny day and at night

The issue just started. The dash will dim and will brighten up every once in a while. But not for long just curious where the sensor is or if it might be something else

I believe the sensor is that button looking thing in mid dashboard, on the top. My wife had a stuffed bear there and it would dim every so often. Bought her a new Nissan that now houses said bear. No more problem lol
