When can 2020s be ordered

When will I be able to place a order for a 2020 Silverado 1500? According to Donlen it says 2020 initial  order acceptance 5-9-19. But the salesman at the dealership I have been working with says it won’t be till 8-5-19. The 8-5 date is production startup according to the Donlen site.

 

so who is right?

Go online, try to build and order.  Maybe GM site has a time posted.  I'd think August  but who knows?  What are you ordering?

Sometime it can be hard to get past the salesman,  often they don't know anything more then management will tell them.    They want to sell you what they got and not much interested in shoppers looking for next years models.

You can place orders for 2020 allocation as GM is no longer accepting orders for 19’s, however there is no pricing for 20’s yet

Nothing on build and price on the web site for 2020....

I stopped by a dealer yesterday to ask about this and they didn't seem to know.. I think these guys arent realizing its almost June or something and that 2020's will likely be on their lots in under 120 days. Frankly if I started the process today and took two weeks to finalize I could like have my new truck in about 90-100 days... but they are more interested in selling me a 2019. 

 

I'm after a Trail Boss Custom Double Cab 6.2L 10-Speed.... although the deals I am seeing on the 2019's right now are pretty good, I had a Trail Boss LT priced out for alot less than expected.

I have seen some LT trail Bosses for around $47K, great price, but I want the DC also, I'll wait until their on the lot and discounted....
