Hey what is up guys i am looking at a used 1 owner 2016 sierra denali 6.6 duramax with 16k miles on the odometer for $52k.

Upon quick research i am worried about the cp4 and have read of people installing lift pumps like a kennedy or other brands( not saying go get a kennedy)

how worried would you be about the cp4?

is there anything you would extensively look over before you purchase?

I am new to diesel and I live in florida so a full def/egr block delete whatever isnt out of the question.

I am NOT looking for a race car. i am looking for reliability and dependability and some power.

I dont need to be running around 250hp tune lol

it is all stock as it sits on the dealer lot.  also the price on cp3 greatly varies i see one for under 1000 and the next is over 6000?

It would be fine  if left in stock form and you could be assured of good clean fuel.  That said, a lift pump would give you piece of mind.  (Or find a CP3 ) GM replaced the CP4 on the L5P and added a lift pump to the system if that tells you anything.

I wouldn’t say it absolute trash but if you’re  doing mods and plan to keep it for a while it is certainly an item of concern.
