Just a curious question as this has been an issue or notable visual fact of GM trucks for years.

I have not heard of any reports yet.

Are any of your T1's leaning or lower on the driver's side ?

Fixed that for you, it isn't just a "Chevy or GM" thing, all manufacturers trucks and vehicles tend to lean towards the drives side. Same rate springs and shocks and more weight on the drivers side (dash, fuel, driver, etc). Wait, did you start this thread to hopefully guide it to saying Bilstein shocks will fix the lean by chance? They are magical shocks, it wouldn't surprise me...

Ahhh, Tyler....    Of course you would chime in.

This is just another topic on top of the numerous other topics contained within this site and forum.

And since it is a GM trucks forum I am specifically interested in hearing about the "Chevy Lean".

Correct, i did not say GM or All other trucks "Lean" as I have never seen or heard the reference GM Lean or GMC Lean.

I suppose you could consider yourself wrong to your above statement that " all manufacturers trucks and vehicles tend to lean towards the drives side " :nono:

Apparently FDHog and RUSSH are not leaning!  :lurk:

This is why I love this site

This really is not a debate but rather a Poll of sorts. Leave it Grumpy Bear for the debating!

Nothing but Respect to Ya Marty!

No thank goodness!  I've always hated the lean. When I purchased my '16 Sierra, I was meausring the fender well to ground on several trucks.  Salesman must've thought I had lost it ?. Every one had a lean to the drivers side. The one I chose still had a lean but was the least of all of them at 3/8" lower on the drivers side. I did the same measuring for my T1. They were spot on! WTH!  After all these years they finally got it right?  Infact, my RST is about 1/8" lower on the passenger side and is perfectly level when I sit in it.  With all the other GM trucks I've had, that's never happened. My '14 Sierra was 3/4" lower on the drivers side and I ended up putting aluminum spacers between the shock strut and lower control to level it. So, the lean may be gone ?.

Just curious, how much of a difference would it take to consider it a lean? Mine is 1/8" lower on drivers side. But that is with me on the outside. I assume once I get in, it leans a bit more.

The typical lean can be as much as a couple of inches.

So many variables factor into this amount.

A half to full inch of lean can go undetected unless you are really looking for it.

I went and measured mine. With a full tank, I lean less than half inch on the drivers side rear. Not gonna worry about it.

On second thought, I put it on level ground and there is NO lean.

I stumbled on this topic as it was a yet another copy from the 14-18 section.  These new trucks must be pretty good when we have to dig for potential problems to discuss!
