Hey everyone, new to this forum and I could really use some help. I have searched youtube and the internet trying to find an answer but I am stuck. My truck is a 2001 Silverado 1500 4x4 extended cab.

Here is what is wrong and I have a feeling that they are all related....Maybe not though.

Right now the sprayer on my windshield washer isn't working unless sometimes in park. I have checked the pump and it is working fine, I have cleaned the tank out (didn't really have anything in it other than fluid) and checked to make sure the plug into the pump was well seated. My horns only work when the windshield washer works. When the washers work it doesn't seem like they are spraying all that strong. It hits about the bottom half of the windshield. I have only had them work going down the road a handful of times and the fluid seemed to get where it needed to at the time. (Honestly I was just excited they worked, no washers in Iowa in the winter is not fun)

The most interesting part that I have noticed is when my horns do work when sounding the driver running light goes out.

To me it sounds like a ground issue but I have looked for loose grounds and even sanded the dirt off of a few in that general area.

Any help figuring this out would be very, very much appreciated.

There are 2 grounds under the passenger door, 2 on the back of the block and one on the frame rail almost directly under the battery. Best option if it is a ground is to take a flat file and get the first coat of paint and metal off the frame and the ground cable end. Dielectric grease is good if you have it but not necessary.

I am going to check them tonight once it cools off a little. I think that it is interesting if it is one of these main grounds that it isnt affecting anything else. Everything else is working great and has been for the last fifty thousand miles that I have owned it. I will let you all know what I find out!
