Italy, Spain or France?

I haven't been abroad yet but I can afford a trip in September. Which is the best destination?

Undoubtedly, all countries deserve proper attention. However, I'd recommend starting with Italy. In my option, it's the best option in September. If you haven't been abroad yet, here is a good source where you'll find everything travel related https://travelsites.com/

I've never been to Spain but Italy has better food and nicer sites than France in my opinion and the people aren't generally that much ruder. I assume you're a wine drinker; good luck finding beer in any of those places.

I've been all over Europe. It really depends if you're driving. Rome and Paris are much less aggressive drivers than folks in Madrid. Strangely, Rome was the most aggressive when I went in 1999, but now there are speed cameras all over so they don't speed or zoom through red lights anymore. There are tons of ZTL (Limited Traffic Zones) roads and the many cameras will catch you. I've heard of some Americans coming back from a memorable trip to Italy then getting hit with 4 or 5 tickets. I got one from Pisa, Italy... and what sucked was that the Italians took an entire year to send the ticket and expected me to make a payment within five days! That wasn't unusual, just about everybody who I know got it a year later! I don't know why Italy takes a year, I got one photo ticket from France and it took two weeks even though my rental car was registered in Germany.

If you're not driving, I'd pick Italy over France and Spain. I'm sure you can take buses out of Rome to Pompeii or Hadrian's Villa in Tivoli. Shouldn't be too hot in September.

Italians are way nicer than the French and Spaniard. I think the snobby Spaniards didn't like me because I speak with a Mexican norteño accent (being from Sonora) and was staying at the Palace Hotel in Madrid, a nice five-star.

Italy is poor and will crash their car into you for insurance money if they know you are American.

France, my god. I do not know how they are a nuclear superpower. Women are dirty, they have open warehouses with birds flying around and poopin on stuff for their “walmarts” selling things. Plus you have to pay some guy in a toll booth every mile you drive. I hated France.

Spain...nude beaches. Women there shower and shave. Clean and cook to. But yeah...noses are high. Top pick to not get sick, stabbed, or poisoned as a tourist. Your safest bet.

May I recommend the cheapest European destination...Amsterdam....could never go there. job in Europe was a drug tested job. Cheech an Chong vacation..heck yeah.

Amsterdam was amazing and I don't even do drugs or solicit prostitutes. Belgium was even better but I'd never try driving there again. Only go if you're planning to get around by bus/ train/ foot.

Don’t tell anybody but I loved Germany. McDonalds drive thru served beer.

Doing 110mph on the autobahn and proud of myself...passed by a little old lady in a Volkswagon.

First GM 6.5L Turbo truck hit Germany...my shop truck. I get called to service a truck...CRUISED at 110 with her for an hour on the Autobahn. Fixed the truck hauling bombs. 110mph back for an hour.

BLEW every single gasket on the motor. KILLED IT. First GM 6.5 Turbo in Europe....hahahaha

GM 6.2’s were dying then on Europe diesel. Too dry. Would only restart if you poured cold water on the injection pumps. Pretty much neutered DoD...lucky we didn’t have a war then.

Mechanics fix was 10 weight oil in the fuel tank. GM had NO FIX
