I put a K&N Blackhawk on mine and have been nothing but pleased with it.  Came with a boot for a 6.2L but obviously doesn't apply to me - just nice that one kit will accommodate both regardless.  It sounds amazing and only makes me want to put an exhaust on even quicker!

AFE Momentum GT has the highest dyno-verified gains for the 6.2L without tuning. Blackbear did a test thread on here not long ago and tested 5-6 different CAI's, the AFE Momentum came out on top, think it was somewhere around 10hp and 25lb-ft. You can probably find it in search. edit here:

I had just the airaid tube. And loved it. You get almost all the same sound that you would with a full intake at a fraction of the price. I didn’t really care about a little extra power, you are not going to feel 10hp anyway. I think it was only like $60

this usually goes on sale for 360 - 380.

I found a used one for $200.

Can’t tell a power difference but a lot louder when towing or 3/4 throttle you hear much more intake noise.

Looks nice under he hood and cleans up the engine bay.

I added the pre filter bag as an extra layer of protection.

Dry filter is Easy to to clean in the kitchen sink with some dawn and warm water, let air dry.

I slap the stocker back on when it goes to dealer for free service.

I also added the AFE sprint booster (like pedal commander but made in USA).

This made the biggest difference in seat of the pants feel. My new truck is almost as responsive as older drive by throttle cable trucks. It makes he go pedal much more responsive.

AFE runs 15% off sales fairly regularly or pick up a used one if you are patient for under $180

I’d highly recommend magnaflow 12909 or 14909 (stainless) flow through muffler. $130 - $200 for muffler. Then take to exhaust shop and have them cut out restrictive stock muffler and flapper. Then weld in magnaflow.

I can now hear cold starts in the house. Quiet cruising on highway. Sounds like a v8 when you stomp on it :-)

Afe momentum gt purchase in sept 2015... bought it cause was the only one at the time that had a California carb... fast forward 10hp on the dyno with a black bear intake trial... long story short been happy with it... no complaints
